"Ownl City" es un proyecto musical de música electrónica creado por Adam Young, quien mezclaba música en el sótano de su casa sólo para pasar el tiempo cuando no podía dormir.
Owl City ganó popularidad al lanzar su álbum Ocean Eyes, que entró en el puesto 1 en las listas de Billboard Hot 100 de los Estados Unidos.
Ocean Eyes, es el segundo álbum de estudio de Owl city. El tema "Umbrella Beach" es parte de este álbum, que ahora ya tiene video official.
