El clip fue dirigido por Francis Lawrence, quien ya ha trabajado antes con otros famosos comoBirtey Spears, Justin Timberlake, Gwen Sttefani y Shakira.
Bad Romance se presenta como un "video evento", lleno de trajes y coreografías vanguardistas y sobre todo mostrando a Lady Gaga tal y como es, sin el acostumbrado y recargado maquillaje que utiliza.
